This past month we have taken a few minutes here and there to enjoy a story about Fall and/or Halloween. Each student was permitted to select their favorite book and design an advertisement for it.
We brainstormed criteria for our project based on a learning standard and "I Can" statement.
Designs had to include the title of the book, the author's name, three illustrations, three details from the story, and a spark of creative effort.
We wrapped our work around a cereal box to give it a three-dimensional effect.
After a week of testing the class really used some creative ideas and cut loose with the crayons, glue, scissors, and pencils.
When these come home, please take a few minutes to discuss your child's favorite book with them.

I really enjoyed creating my cereal box ad about "One Hungry Monster"! It was very cool!

ReplyDeleteI like that you had them put it on a cereal box - it is such a small thing but makes a huge difference! Nice job!
